Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon is going to be released on October the 18th. After its release I will, of course, write about my experiences with this second release of the year. Until then I found this countdown-image. Please, feel free to be impatient

As you might have noticed Full Circle Magazine Issue #5 has been released. As I revealed before, the newest issue of FCM contains an article written by me. I reviewed a game called “Bridge Construction Set” which might be worth a read. The article also features some screenshot from inside of the game as well as a rating. I’d be happy to receive any responses if you”re familiar with one of the Bridge Cunstruction games and have an opinion about them or even about my review. As always, comments and pms are equally appreciated. After advertising for my very own article it’’s time to give you some details about Issue #5. These are the facts:
- “Fluxbuntu – Step-by-step Install
- How-To : Report Bugs with LaunchPad, CoLoCo Edubuntu Presentation, >From VMware to VirtualBox and Learning Scribus Pt.5.
- Review of Bridge Construction Kit.
- Preview of Gusty Gibbon
- Letters, Q&A, My Desktop, My PC, Top 5, the new My Opinion column, and more!
As announced in the title of this weblog entry something special recently happened. In connection with me attending the Philipps-University (yay, I surely won”t forget about this name!) from October on, I left Büdingen and moved to Marburg. That’s mainly the reason why I’ve not been posting here for some time. I was and still am quite busy doing what is necessary. We’ll see if that’s going to change

By the end of last week Full Circle Magazine Issue #4 has been released. Besides its usually good features there’s something special in this issue – at least it’’s special for me
. I contributed two articles. You can view them on page 4 and 26. Luckily I had the chance to fill in for somebody. Thanks to mrmonday and sampbar for trusting me
Although these articles don’t really represent the maximum of my capabilities as I had to write them in a short time, I’m happy to have been able to help out. Somehow they must have been quite OK as I’ve been given the opportunity to write something else for the next issues. I hope you”re looking forward as much as I do for Issue #5 featuring an article I’m nearly satisfied with (and let’s hope the editors and proofreaders are satisfied with it, too
).
Reading this (3 day-old) news you might be interested in #4′’s features:
- Edubuntu – What’s in it for the kids?
- How-To : Hosting Code on LaunchPad, Learning Scribus part 4 and Keep your kids safe in Ubuntu.
- Preview of Miro 0.9.8. * Interview with Ubuntu Developer Colin Watson.
- Letters, Q&A, MyDesktop, MyPC, Top5 and more!

Reading through the Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter I found out about a website called ubuntuhq.com. The newsletter describes it as the following:
“Ubuntu HQ’s goal is to collect all Ubuntu related articles in one place. You can find recent news issues, application reviews, howto’’s and other stories. Every article has a “Full Story” link to the original website and an easy browsable archive of howto’s. You can vote articles up or down and add comments. Check it out!”
I just had a look at this nice website and found two interesting articles:
Sounds like a mixture of digg.com and howtoforge.net but as it is Ubuntu only, this might be a good resource for the ever-growing ‘buntu community
